Working with universities all over the world is a key part of our education programme.
Earlier this year we donated 10 educational licences of S3GRAF to Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. Brian Ferguson, our sales executive for South East Asia, visited the University to teach 25 students the fundamentals of using S3GRAF.
The session was video recorded, so it can be used for future students at the university. The software helps students in a wide range of their studies and theses.
S3GRAF will be very useful for students with helping them to quickly and easily analyse simulation results, with the creation of project reports and also for producing high quality 3D images and graphs for presentation in technical papers at conferences, such as those held by the SPE.
Our international market is hugely important to our company and we’ve a strong focus on developing new opportunities.
In the last 6 weeks, Brian Ferguson the Sciencesoft Sales Executive for China, Japan, South East Asia and Australasia has visited clients and potential business prospects in China, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand, securing additional business in several existing accounts and also unearthing new opportunities at several potential customers.

Well travelled - our sales executive Brian Ferguson
Sciencesoft has recently signed up with Strathclyde University – based in our home city – to fund a scheme which will help four students from low income backgrounds to study in the Mathematics or Physics Departments by supplying them with an annual bursary to help with their study costs.
The award will be known as the Sciencesoft Scholarship and the company will invest £20,000 over the term of the scheme.
The move is part of our company’s commitment to education.
We’re in the process of doubling the footprint of our headquarters – including the setting up of a dedicated training centre which will attract oil and gas engineers from all over the world.
The fit out of our new offices is nearly complete and we are just waiting for our new furniture to arrive.
We now have a move in date of the 16th of April, two weeks ahead of schedule.
The new premises is a major step in the Sciencesoft story and the team here is very excited about this development.
The new issue of Science Scotland magazine is just out for Spring 2012 and we’re featured in a double page article.

The fitting out of our new offices is now well underway and we are looking to occupy them by the end of April.
This will give us room in the next three years to more than double our head count and fits with our expansion strategy.
As part of our new office fit out we are creating a bespoke training centre for end users from all over the world to come and be trained on all our products. We are expecting to train more than 300 engineers at the training centre in its first year of operation.
